Thanks scotty. I may start a thread on that rifle, regarding before and after glass bedding accuracy. It may be an eye opener for some people..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

"An archer sees how far he can be from a target and still hit it, a bowhunter sees how close he can get before he shoots." It is certainly easy to use that same line of thinking with firearms. -- Unknown

I do both. I may or may not use pillars.

I believe the stock is the supergrade copy Mcmillian makes..... You mean it’s composite, not wood?
By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.

Since yesterday, there is now a photo of my old 1950s M70 .308 and here it is: Originally, I hand loaded it for proof of accuracy and could not do better than 5 shots in 5/8 inch and it shot Remington 150 grain ammo that well, so I gave up in disgust and stopped hand loading. It has shot only Hornady ammo since they came out with their Light Magnum ammo, mostly 165 grain bullets now.

Pre'64 Featherweight I like that a lot gunnut, I've been using Pre-64 Featherweights for most of my hunting for nearly 30 years. About 6 or 7 years ago I put a McMillan compact edge on a 270 Pre-64 Featherweight and it is my favorite rifle.

This just found its way into my home, a .300 H&H from 1957, I think.
