It may come as a shock to some of my “ followers “ on here, but Cruz was not my first choice when he first ran for the Senate in 2012. There were four candidates vying to take Kaye Bailey Hutchinson’s Seat which she gave up to run for Governor. In the first Primary, I voted for the Businessman from Dallas who’s name I dont recall.

When Cruz made the runoff Primary against Dewhurst, I voted for him.

All of you crediting the Cruz victory to Trump’s visit may have it all wrong. He actually lost poll points after the visit. You need to remember that when Texans were given a choice between Cruz and Trump.. we chose Cruz.

But I’m not sorry that Cruz will never be President. The Senate is his first elected office and he has proven to be pretty much a typical politician.

But at least we didn’t re-elect a Testor.

He was never in trouble. Cruz won, despite the free 1 hour ad on CNN and the free ad on 60 Minutes for Beto and all of the mainstream media adoration. Cruz would have won by double digits if not for the mainstream media bias.

Cruz needs to increase his popularity, or Texas better find a GOP candidate that is.
