Betting interlock, you can see a faint line where the lock ring should be below the cannelure. I know Steve Hornady got real testy when shown what happened. Real azzhole, not anything like Joyce.

I looked at some old Hornady loading manuals. I found no mention of the interlock feature until the 5th edition, which was copyrighted in 2000. However, looking at Hornady's website, they claim the interlock feature was introduced in 1977. Quien Sabe?

Not interlock, I sectioned one. Funny is I found a box of 117 that says interlock and was bought at the same time.

Thanks for doing that. I was perplexed. I have been using the Interlock version for over 20 years in 257AI and a 25/06. Always great performance. The few that I have recovered looked like a Hornady ad.

Going to throw a little kink in the chain for you. 1991 Hornady manual states hunting bullets with cannelure have the interlock ring. Got a picture of the ring in there that it’s so slight I may not have seen it on the section.
Also states that the 120 was specifically introduced for the 25.06. I bought those in 92-93.
Either way they failed.
