I vote for Nancy Pelosi to be sacrificed so they can finally find the treasure. I'd say toss her down the hole, but that leaves the chance that some future archaeologist may stumble across the fossil and clone it.

The "money pit" is full of money all right, all the money they've spent to find an old cross, ancient wood and other trinkets. They are pretty good at convincing investors to keep financing their project, especially when little to nothing noteworthy has been found.

Wifey and I still watch it. Matter of fact, it's the only show on the History Channel I find worth turning the TV on for! Shame about that.
I find a lot of the shows boring with some of the wild theories they pursue for add bucks, and it never occurred to me that they maybe salting some of the finds.
Still, like others, I've always been fascinated by the original story of Oak Island and buried treasure.
They say there's a cache of gold buried on the mountain near here, put there by Highway Men before the Revolution. And General Braddock's Army's payroll in gold is buried in a Bronze cannon barrel somewhere near the Monongahela...
