I don't generally shoot them but could shoot at least one a month if I cared to. I shot a great big one over 36" several years ago with a Glock 357sig and had it mounted. The mount turned to crap after a couple of years and I haven't had much desire to shoot them since. They do play hell on our quail though!
I actually just had another one run across the wheat field and scare off the deer. Should have shot him too!😆

Very nice.

Bobcat with taken with a handgun is fine shooting and excellent woodsmanship to boot. Good going.

Bobcat just became legal again a couple of years ago here. Called a few, but never since they were shootable.

Most of them i ever saw were out near the west end of Ft Bragg. There was a little church way out on chicken or plank road. Used to see them as little gray balls of fur streaking across the road.

What cartridge? Now that Ruger is offering the GP-100 in several, figured I should ask. My guess smile is if you're using 180s, it's not .327 Federal, but ... .357, 10mm, or .44 special?

Congratulations on a fine trohpy! Bobcats are tough with a handgun, not many have done it unless they were treed. We used to call in quite a few when I was stationed in Texas, it was always quite exciting to see those eyes in the red light. I have a shoulder mount of one I shot near Whitesboro in the 60's with a Marlin 39A.
