That trail does not look right to me. All the blood tails I have followed never where a solid line of blood like that shown, they always had spots ,smears and gaps in the blood line, but never a solid like that. <shrugs> To me, it looks like someone "poured" a line of blood for what ever reason. Maybe, just never seen it.
Same here. Perhaps someone put it out training a dog or something. Not moving fast at all. The "loops" could be where the animal was taking a breath.. Right. That deer is draining...not pumping blood. We get that when the heart and lungs have both been disengaged. That deer is walking like a drunk and wasn't far.

All foam, no beer.
I didn't make it back there until this morning. The light snow we had disappeared and the blood trail along with it. I poked around the area for 45 minutes, but found nothing.
