Did those KUIU pack frames stop breaking? They probably have that sorted out now. Yes Nope. Saw a pic this year of one that was shattered. Sent to me by a very good friend who saw it in person. What year was the frame made?
I probably hit more elk with a pickup than you have with a rifle. I have yet to see anyone claim Leupold has never had to fix an optic. I know I have sent a few back. 2 MK 6s, a VX-6, and 3 VX-111s.

Kifaru for me. I have the Mountain Warrior bag, and a really old duplex frame. I'll probably get a new frame, as I got it 15 years ago, and it was a well used one off ebay. The kifaru packs are workhorses.

Haven't used an MR in a while, but looks like they're putting out some good stuff these days for sure.

I like my Kuiu Icon and haven't had any problems with it but I'm not sure I put mine through the abuse that others have. I can see how if the fit wasn't perfect it could be uncomfortable, for me it's spot-on. I don't think you can go wrong with any one of the names mentioned. If I was in the market again I wouldn't rule out Kuiu but think I'd give some serious consideration to a MR, Kirafu or Stone Glacier

Love my Kifaru pack...went with the tactical frame and the Nomad 2 plus the woodsman bag plus a few extras like the spotting scope pouch, guide lid and grab it. I have a couple of compressed/bulged discs in my back right where the pack tends to sit and the kifaru seems to ride good for me. Their service was top notch when I was buying and promptly answered any questions. Don’t regret my purchase.

Whatever you do, get a bag you can quickly pull off the frame for washing. Mine goes to the bathtub with oxyclean when the smell gets intolerable. Takes about four rinses but comes out looking like new.

For the guy who only hits the mountans for a couple weeks per year The best bang for the buck is and always will be debatable Personally I know there is better then my Kuiu on the market but I like my 3200 just fine for now.

Might be the odd man out but I love my outdoorsmans optic hunter. Super comfortable and I can pack a goat out with it.

A Western Colorado made Seek Outside pack should be included in your choices. I really like my Peregrine.
