Give me a yell sometime. Been running GPS' for nearly 20 years starting with the old Garmin eTrex's with the chromatic screen and click stik. Have had several of those, the 62 series, Oregon, Montana (my current one).

My iPhone is sure nothing that I'd depend on especially in cold weather. The battery loses so much power in the cold even riding in my front pocket that I'll take my Garmin 64ST over it any time. At least with the Garmin, I can take two extra AA batteries though it sure doesn't use them up as fast as my smaller, simpler, slower, b&w Vista eTrex. I think that I'll upgrade it with the Hunt View chip in the next couple of weeks if the kids gift me with a Cabela's gift card.

My other auto is a .45
