If I were climbing around in the mountains, I definitely would buy a 21" non-threaded. But I'm in Texas.

I just picked up the 18' 308. my whole purpose was to have a lighter suppressed rifle. Side benefit is that it shoots very well.

I don't think we have to worry about many campfire members from out of state coming to Texas.....I mean.....with the way they badmouth it and all.

I just cashed in my cabelas club points and ordered a 6.5 with the 21" barrel. Wish they sold them with the shorter barrels because if I like it as much as everyone else here does I'll probably be coming out of pocket for the 18".

I don't think we have to worry about many campfire members from out of state coming to Texas.....I mean.....with the way they badmouth it and all. No need to go that far, if I want to see endless truckloads of Texans I'll just cruise down to Colorado.
