They confiscate assets from low level street dealers but rarely seem to be able to make arrests at the top levels of the narco manufacture/distribution industry. It's usually not even a secret who these folks are. Wonder why? Maybe it's because those billions (arguably trillions) of dollars in profit funnel back to the same relatively few families that control the major financial institutions and directly or indirectly, most of the major corporations, think tanks, PAC's, media outlets, Governments, etc.

Astor, Bundy, DuPont, Freeman, Kennedy, Li, Rothschild, Rockefeller, Russel. Those are the top drug running families in the world according to the CIA website. Then there are lesser families such as the Bronfan's, the Cabot's, the Shaws, theBacon's, thePerkin's, the Morgan's, the Forbes, the Oppenheimer's, and one or 2 others I can't remember anymore. You didn't name them, but from your post I would say you knew the names.
