I ran a thread a few weeks ago seeking opinions on quality hunting boots to replace my Asolo boots. After 6 1/2 years, the soles had begun to separate and I thought they were toast. Asolo recommends Dave Page, Cobbler in Seattle Washington for their boot repair. I contacted them, got a prompt estimate for the cost of repairs and the turn around time (one week of shop time or so.) Good deal and way to avoid the Throw away society. Nice that the vulcanized boots can be resoled now. I always favored stitch on welts before for the re-sole option. I had one pair of Vasque boots go through three Vibram soles before they bit the dust.

I talked with Dave about resoleing my Cabelas Meindl hikers, he wouldn’t touch them because I had used Obenaufs on them he said the new soles would not bond.
