I was using Barnes 62 grain also for hogs. I found some 62 grain bulk Hornady BTHP at Midsouth that cost 10 or 11 cents each compared to 50 cents for Barnes and so far they worked just as well.

its not the weight ..........its the length.........

64's are short & fat........like my prom date in '69...........

the only varmint boolit any 223 needs is the 53 V max.....

kicks azz on p/dogs and other critters.....

My 24" 1:9 AR shot five 55-grain Varmageddons into 3/4" @ 200 yards the other day. 25.5 grains of Varget gave 3,100 fps at 30F. It also likes 69-grain Sierra BTHPs. Haven't tried anything lighter or heavier.
