I was on a deer lease in Ozona Texas, we used to stop in Kleinguenther’s shop, admire all the fine rifles. He was a nice guy to talk to.

Bill, I had a Wichita with 3 lugs and made it into a 6X284. I wasn't too impressed with it.

Hanco those are some fine looking firearms but what is that a left hand stock on a right hand rifle.

I thought the sportco my Dad owns was a 2 lug looks a lot like a 700. The Sako 85 is a different design smooth as silk I really like mine. The Cooper is also very smooth as well. the earlier Sakos had 3 lugs but 2 rode in the same milled slot they were pretty smooth as well but not like the 85.

Shoot straight all.

The Steyr SSG 69 (6 lugs but in pairs) offered 60 degree throw in '69. Interestingly it was one of, if not the first production rifle with a synthetic stock. Also utilized the Manlicher rotary magazine in a "modern" configuration - apparently Ruger had been doing that in the 10-22 since the mid 60's. Cool trivia

That design was around long before Roy could shoot. It is copied from artilery canons.

It is better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6.
