"I said, "Indeed it is. I ate breakfast last week there."

He said, "I want one of those 'saddle-blanket steaks', if they still fix them, with fried potatoes."
(The Streamliner sold a steak that they called a "saddle-blanket" & that "hung off all around" the large platter.)

After lunch, the Major said, "I feel at home now, as I remember those steaks being just the same in 1964."

When I got laid off nine years ago union called, gave me a movie job. Talked with Gerard Butler for a few minutes, he seemed fairly down to earth. If I had to guess, probably a closet conservative. All the rest of the famous actors on set came across like royalty, Elizabeth Shue, Abigail Spencer.. except the character actors, you know, the ones your recognize, but don't know their names, they were OK.

Like this guy here, been in a ton of movies, but you wouldn't know who he is..



Talked with him for about an hour, super nice guy..he works just enough to live and travel with his wife. I think he is settled in AZ and just flies out to small character rolls.

One day Richard Egan came into the clinic and wanted an eye exam. He was visiting friends who i cared for in Midland.

Twice in airports and once at an art gallery in Dallas people camd up wanting her Linda Carter Wonder Woman autograph.

Twice in airports on hunting trips and while wearing my Fred Bear type stetson i was accosted by some who thought i was Harrison Ford. My loss. Dayom, i shoulda thought about selling a fake autograph.

Carlos Hathcock and I used the same tax preparer in the 1980's. Since l drove in the same direction as he lived (he lived in the Pembroke area of Virginia Beach, VA ), the preparer asked me to drop off his return. I met him at the door and just said hello and that I'd enjoyed his book.

Hank Junior was coming into a gunshop in Missoula Montana as I was leaving. He opened the door for me.

I said "I appreciate it" and he nodded back.

That's the only celebrity I have ever "met".
