Ain't going to happen. See "not a joke" thread on campfire forum. Canada is only a step or two farther down the road than USA.

The parasites now outnumber the producers, in both countries.

I still don't know whether to agree with the OP or disagree....where the hell did you learn English and grammar, Ranting?

As for the carbon taxes, I can hardly believe they are about 110% taxed . There will be people freezing to death in some parts. I really feel sorry about some of the things I hear from the Canadians. Such a nice country too. We went there over Labor day to Sault STE. Marie over Labor Day . We saw how it is just not nearly the same town it was 31 yrs ago. It was sad. The people were just friendly. The red head waitress was the cutest thing and I snickered at her accent. Socialism is a poison. We are seeing it everywhere.

So I said to President Trump, "Do you have any friends that would like our water, oil and lumber?"

The Donald smiled and said, "Yep."

And the Canadians made sure that Trump was elected president down south. They never suspect the quiet Canadians!

The end.

The carbon tax sounds nasty.
How in the heck do these thing get passed.
I AOC gets her way, we will have to sneak north to
get fuel, or catch a plane.

The references to this hurting people on fixed incomes pisses me off.
Maybe it's different in Canada, but here there are no fixed incomes.
My job pay is fixed. But I can leave or work two jobs.

Retired people that have become socialist minded recipients of checks love the term.

They don't F'n work. They dont usually have kids. They are not on a fixed income.
They have 24 free hours a day to increase their income if it so bad.

It a lot easier for them to increase their income, than anyone working.

How you can possibly argue that retirees are not on a fixed income? How you can berate them for not working now when at age 65 to 95 or more they have already done their time on the job? How can you expect someone that age to work 8 hours a day? How can you call it socialist to not have a job when you're that age? Do yourself a favor and read up on what socialism is. You're not even close.

There are those who can't work.
There are those who won't work.

It's popular to bust on certain ones who won't work,
not others.

Retirement is not a basic human right. There is no reason to not work because of
a calender, or the number of calendars you've seen.

If, you can't afford to not work, work.
Don't bitch to me about your fixed income.

Heck, I have seen many black and white welfare recipients working cash jobs.
Not defending their fraud. But they get a check, and then supplement it as they need.

I'm 49, have worked since I was 10.
I'm in a pension plan, have a 401, an IRA, and more available cash than most Americans.
Not wealthy, not a huge income.
My goal was retirement at 59.
Insurance issues probably will make that unlikly.
I can't justify dropping $150k buying insurance, younger wife,
so, I will work. Maybe, semi-retire, but I am a red blooded, blue collar American,
work is what we do.

Well i'm pretty sure that Trudeau gov is finished. He's trying to please all but failing big time. When he introduced the carbon tax, that hit all the population. He just sent 53 million to Venezuela to a country that has the 3rd biggest oil reserves in the world. What's happening here??The guy is on a spending frenzy that will sink us into a debt that we can never pay back with a population of 36 million. We can't get a pipe line in Alberta but we can send money to regime in Americas back yard. Is Trump sending money? No he's building a wall to keep them out ,not assist a regime. Oh yeah I forgot we have a large Venezuelan vote base in Toronto, Montreal. He's desperate to get as many votes as he can. Moron. Using tax dollars to prop up the elections this spring.

The USA sends money/ foreign aid to countries all over the world. We spend a $hitload on NATO, and the United Nations, nation building, among other things. I think we spend more than our fair share. Not to mention that we are not only broke, but $22 trillion dollars in debt.

If we leave Trudeau at the helm another 4 years we might catch up with you. If we have to give every Canadian Terrorist prisoner that comes out of Cuba 30 million because they got a water board, or had hardship at the prison we will no doubt close the gap.

Generally, I love Canada, the country, and it’s people but we — the US, Western Europe too — are all I’m afraid in a losing battle. If true conservatism based on Judea-Christian values ever makes a comeback politically, it’ll only be after it becomes much worse first IMO. If it does come back, it may take a miracle in the form of another Reformation, not a revolution. And maybe just regionally.

Much of the US, urban and rural, has devolved into second world (or worse) status under socialist governors, legislatures, and more local leadership not to mention eight ruinous years of B. Obama. This happens as a result of revisionist history, politicians pandering to identity groups, “tribal” politics; and the ruinous idea that all cultures are equal in terms of assimilation, contribution and thus indiscriminately welcoming disparate, mostly uneducated masses of people into a country. All this equals a large segment of people who don’t know history, or don’t care, are on one or more forms of welfare, and thus are completely dependent on sustaining those who provide it. This means politicians who imagine it, then tax it.

Support your good, conservative candidates and vote.
