I have RCBS cowboy action dies for the subject pistol and all the 32/20 data I find is for flat nosed bullets. The seater die is flat surfaced to match up with a flat nosed bullet. I have 500 98 gr. round nosed bullets.

Will the seater die properly seat the RN's or must I buy flat nosed? I will try and see but am curious if anyone has experience with this old round. Also, was the 32/20 ever loaded with RN bullets?

Any info will be greatly appreciated. Brimfish

Yes you can use it, but it might smoosh the heads and you also might get a little bit of variance in seating depths as the round noses are not as uniform on most cast bullets. A round nose seating stem generally contacts the ogive of the bullet first and goes off of that as that portion of the bullet stays more uniform, bullet to bullet.
