Smacked a discarded railroad tie plate this afternoon with my 338/06. The plate was wired to a T post. Plate disappeared and since I hate mud, especially in January, I didn’t walk up and look at it yet. I will wander up and fix it when it freezes again. The hit was louder than the rifle it seemed. I should add that was a 275 grain Speer solid.
