I've been looking through threads for 17 Hornet loads. I have 20 grain and 25 grain bullets on hand. I have plenty of 1680, TAC, and 5744 on hand with a pound or two of other powders that may work well. -- No CFE223, though.
Wind Chill has been in the low 50 degrees below zero and warming up to about 20 degrees below zero. The breezes also have been phenomenal. The snow is shoulder deep on my range. --- I have not been shooting as much as I'd like in other words. So, with a couple hundred empty 17 Hornet case ready for loading, I thought it might be a good time to load cartridges. I can set up a target to that I might be able to shoot of the deck, but the breezes...
Any help appreciated. (Oh yes, I either lost my Gun Gack 1 book or someone borrowed it.) I may have to order another one.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

I'm still shooting factory ammo in order to get brass. I think our own Mule Deer can help you with some load data. He's a fan of the 17 Hornet and uses it a lot on prairie dogs.

My old Cooper Ackley Hornet liked 12.5 +/- grains of 1680 behind Nagels excellent 20gr HP's.
Chan's bullets are all I've shot in four different 17cals for years.....try some if you haven't..
