Where's your 226 Winchester or other improved/wildcat rifle?
I was getting the 225 ready to take to the range and found that the forward action screw, when torqued to 30 in/lb, causes the action to bind slightly. I suspect the mag well may not be quite deep enough. I will have to get a dremel attachment and take out some wood at the bottom. I might also add shims between the metal and the stock.

I took some wood out the of the mag well which eased the problem somewhat. When I tightened the front action screw, any torque past 15-20 in/lb caused the problem to return, albeit not as badly. I marked the bolt lugs and got some scraping, so I shortened the front screw bit by bit until the action locked smoothly with 30 in/lb of torque on both screws. The barrel is still floated, so I will take it to the range and test fire it. That is this one.
