We have one of those lap labs too. Lol That lap lab is a 1 year old Great Dane Rhodesian ridgeback cross.

2 feet of snow, on top of a foot of slush. I agree with Deb. lol. We had some wind I haven't seen here in quite some time. I wouldn't have even thought about fishing in it.

As for ice fishing, we bring our house off the lake every time we go home. I am likely done with ice fishing unless we get that late opportunity when snow settles and the ice is still good. But right now I feel it's a fools game. I want no part of it, too much snow. The snow depth is an obvious problem but the weight of the snow is another, it causes the flooding of water above the top of the ice in areas with ice cracks and for sure anywhere you drill a fishing hole. The water leaches up into the snow, slush hides under the surface of innocent looking snow. I got no time for those sorts of shenanigans.

Yes, Congrats TJAY! We didn't get picked in WY, so we will be going to Montana.
I am so glad I don't have a fish house on the lake right now!
New lab puppy in the house. Ours weighs in at 8 lbs. Cute little lass it is. Sleeping between my feet as I type this. Which is good because when she wakes up it is like a little yellow tornado running around the house.
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

Yep, lots of horror stories on the facebooks of trucks & big houses stuck in slush on LOTW !
I'm lucky, no slush within 40 yards of my little house & I'm plowed from the side road, directly to the shack.
All slush is between me & the banks of the main ice road.

Dave-glad to hear yours isn't stranded out there. Lots of reports of fish houses getting broken into also. Would really suck to go out there and find the place ransacked, and then not be able to get it off the ice to boot.
