Assuming we’re talking a .308 Win. with elk on the menu.....150 TTSX pushed hard. Can be pushed fast enough to be a good 400 yard performer, with a bullet that “will” retain nearly 100% of it’s original weight for superb penetrating capabilities. Those penetrating capabilities can be a huge benefit on large game, with a less than ideal shot angles! memtb Agreed, it.s good bullet just not as available locally and obviously more money. Every time I tinker with premium bullets by the time I develop a load the box of bullets is gone and it gets costly to practice with them too.

Shoot2hunt, While it likely would not replicate your hunting Bullets, use a much cheaper bullet for practice. At least when you’re shooting, you are perfecting your “shooting mechanics”! We even shoot 22 rifles ( Ruger 77/22), for practice. They somewhat simulate our hunting rifles, in size and weight.....again “mechanics”! Just a thought! memtb
