Met Tom Selleck at the Silver Spur Rodeo in Yuma one year. Not long after the movie Quigley Down Under came out. We mostly talked about the rifle (rifles) he used in the movie. There was more than one. He said the one he threw aside near the end of the movie was not a real one. Introduced him to my wife. It was an enjoyable 5 minutes.

ate lunch with Vincent Price, lubbock airport. my uncle and i had the only table with spare chairs. he asked if he could join us.

Mr. Rodgers asked me what time it was in Pittsburg airport. I had to sit beside Del Shannon (Charles Worthington) on a long flight. He was nuts. Killed himself 2 mos. later. Had a drink with Patrick Swazye. Alan Arkin.

While working the 95th Harley Davidson anniversary in Milwaukee in plainclothes but with badge exposed, I stood backstage while ZZ Top came out and proceeded on stage to play. Into their second or third song a jovial fellow dressed in Harley attire came up to me and asked if I was with Milwaukee PD and how the event was going.
I asked him, "do you work for Harley?" He replied, "No, I'm Peter Fonda." I looked at him closer, and said, "well yes I guess you are."

I met Aaron Tippin at Applebee's in Great Falls, MT. He tried to talk to me, and I asked him "Who the hell are you" I felt like a fool when I found out, as he was a super nice guy. My cousin's wife is cousin's with Brian White that used to sing country. My cousin took him around town and introduced him to people when he had made it big, it was quite comical. I also met Joan Jett while on deployment and a few other singers.

About the only accidental that I have had recently is Neal McCoy. Seems like I see him about every other time I go to Sam's Club in Longview, TX. Nothing to get excited about for sure.

The only "accidental" that really impressed me, was the time Margret Thatcher visited me in my office in Dallas. Just so happened that I had been to an important meeting and had on my suit and tie. I was checking some notes on the meeting when a very tall man in a plain black suit stepped into my office and asked if I had a "Moment to Chat". I said sure, please have a seat, and he stepped back out of my office and Mrs. Thatcher walked in and sat down. She was a very nice, witty lady. She stayed about 10 minutes, and chatted mostly about her son that was going to school in Dallas. Then the big tall man in the black suit reminded her about her next appointment and she shook hands and left. That meeting holds a special place in my memories.

There are a lot of celebrities who brag about the time they met me.

I one time ran into Woody Williams in an USO at the DFW airport. I hear a older guy talking at the table behind me and turn to look and see a MOH around the guy's neck. That was a humbling experience to listen to him speak of his time in the Pacific.

I was in the President’s club (Continental airlines club) getting ready for a long trip out of Cleveland, OH and noticed men of all ages walking past the TV lounge with their mouths hanging open. Thought I’d best investigate.

Sitting there in a nice red dress was Ivana Trump.

I walked over, introduced myself and asked her if she was Mrs Trump. She said she was.

She may look goofy in some pictures, but she was drop dead gorgeous.

I commented to her “you’re absolutely beautiful!” to which she replied “Men have told me that.” With a slight smile.

I’m laughed and shook her hand and moved on.

What was she doing there, and apparently flying commercial? I have no idea.

Was going to a job in Beverly Hills years Back and took my girlfriend with me on a Saturday
Got in the elevator with a welder and Linda Hamilton walked in looked at everyone in the elevator and smiled so everyone would know who she was
My girlfriend almost said something but didn't she could have kissed Linda on the Cheek she was so close to her.

My girlfriend did not know who she was and thought she went to school with her or something like that.

The welder and I got a good laugh explaining who she was and my Girl got embarrassed about the whole thing.

My girl wanted to go on every job I went on after that.

More than I can remember. George Carlin, Bob Denver, Lionel Ritchie (a very funny story), Stella Steven's, Jack Nicholson, Bob Hope, Earnest Borgnine, David Carradine, many more. Some musicians I've met Pete Townsend, Maceo Parker, John Scofield, had sit down lunch with the entire band Tower Of Power, etc etc

Roy Rogers many years ago. Calvin “ I got 14 kids” Murphy a couple months ago. Harrison Ford about 20 years ago. Met lots of country singers through the years.
