You think this country will outlive us?

It is the same. There is no national emergency right now on the border. If there were the wall would have been started 2 years ago. The move Trump has made is unconstitutional and will be ruled so by the Supreme Court. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 9-0 vote. The point is, that if Trump is allowed to violate the constitution for a fake emergency, then any president in the future will be able to do the same. And for any reason. We all had better hope that this is found unconstitutional.

The purpose of the National Emergency is to allow a president to make a decision in regards to a real emergency where funds are needed before congress can vote on it. It is used for situations where money is needed TODAY for something. Usually a small amount is specified and congress will meet and appropriate more funds ASAP to fully fund the situation. It was never intended as an end run to pay for something planned years down the road. Congress has already voted on this and said no. No way Trump wins this battle. And if you love this country you should be praying he doesn't.

There will never be a wall built as long as the Dems hold the house and Trump knows it. This is all grandstanding by both sides. Even if he is able to get the money from somewhere he doesn't own the land. The only way the land can be acquired is through eminent domain. The congress is the only government agency with the power to acquire the land and that ain't happening.

We don't know what the president knows.

I'm pretty sure if a large force of 30K or more hit the southern border, at the weakest points of entry, we would be in dire straits.

Nope, It’s already dying. Most of what made it America is long gone. Of course, I may die tomorrow. But the real America is gone already, and barring a miracle, it ain’t coming back. Enjoy today, for we are not promised tomorrow, and the left is fully invested in making sure tomorrow is theirs, not ours. They should be careful what they wish for. It don’t take a lot of looking to see what their utopias always turn out to be.

There’s no article in the bill of rights guaranteeing the right of Mestisos to invade our southern border. That’s the difference. There is, however, a Constitutional obligation on the part of the executive branch to defend our border from invasion.
