just went by autozone and bought 2 windshield wipers that had give up the ghost during the recent heavy rains. dude helped me install them right on the spot.

have also bought from napa, and o'reilly. and maybe a few local shops. the locals are good but seem to be a bit more expensive.

do y'all have a brand name you stick with, or just run to the closest parts store when something needs replacing.

i hardly buy anything from dealers like chevy, ford or toyota unless i just have to. they have quality and plenty of price in my opinion.

honestly, i use to buy a lot more parts than i do now. the cars & trucks have about out run me in technology.

batteries and windshield wiper blades are about all i touch anymore.

there was a time brake pads, linings, brake cylinders, clutches.

changed out a pressure plate and clutch plate on a '64 chevy.

Rockauto is typically my go-to. I'll buy stuff like wipers from AZ but that's about it. Hoses, filters, etc I typically go to Napa or CarQuest for.

If not online, NAPA, hometown people I've known a long time. Not a bureaucracy like Autozone or Walmart.

Like Gus, I find the newer rigs befuddle me. Walmart, O'Reilly, some online for the parts a dumbie can still install.

Someone got a real nice pair of wipers on their vehicle at the Wally world parking lot.

I just do the one for one exchange program.

Redbone , I wear my extra large army field jacket when I go to the junkyard. Aka the loot suit.

Larry, you take windshield wipers off the wrong vehicle one day, you'll be picking your nose with your elbow.

1) Where ever my mechanic gets 'em.
2) Local NAPA store
3) AutoZone just opened a store locally. Seems a little more pricey than NAPA, but is open longer hours.

apparently the catalytic converter business is a growth bizness around here. somebody can zip one off with a buzzsaw, and sell it to the recycling place in a ziffy.
