I've got a FA in .327 Fed., and it's a blast to shoot... I'd do it again, any time..

.327s are loud. They are pretty nearly just a rimmed .30C pressure-wise and we've all read how loud the Blackhawks in .30C are reputed to be.

They ain’t just reputed to be.

A Single Seven in 327 is a cool powerful little revolver. A 357 capable 327 is of no interest.
About like those Super Redhawk 10mm's.
Driving a school bus to pick Jr. up at preschool.
JMHO I just prefer a K or L sized gun for about everything short of a pocket pistol. 22 to 44, I'll go K or L. The GP100 seems to fit in there. Just weighs a few ounces more than a Single 7 as well. This thing is tempting as well https://ruger.com/products/newModelSingleSixSingleSeven/specSheets/8165.html

Well, There is only one person who has to like it. And I doubt you ever break it. I like the 44 version. You be Jack, I'll be Elmer. But we can get along!

I said Jack.
I would never call you Jackie, Blake.
But then I know how they swing on the left coast.

One has my grandsons name engraved in the grip frame. But he leaves it at my house If I had not just brought home a Henry in 327, I would already have ordered the blued 5.5 inch Bisley single seven which recently became available.

So I managed to get to the range with the new Lipsey's special run 4-5/8" barreled blued Ruger Single Seven. It shot the 85 grain American Eagle JSP load much better than it's predecessors shot the 100 grain version ... acceptable / almost respectable. I did a quick series of handloads with 100 grain XTPs and Win 296 .. some ok, some need work. The real surprise was a cast bullet handload with the RCBS 98 grain SWC in .32 mag cases. That bullet exceeds cylinder length in .327 cases. I was using 3.3 grains of Titegroup. Inch and a quarter at 25 yards.
I did a bit of gunsmithing on that gun .. it's probably the tightest Ruger I've ever had apart. Pins do not slip into place, they take a bit of thumb pressure. Everything fits *close*, no slop. They did a good job assembling this one.

That’s good to hear TOM.
I’m horribly conflicted ‘tween that little Single 7 and the GP100. My kid likes the Single 7 better. Who am I to argue? Lol.

I would love to see Ruger and Lipsey's collaborate on a "Hunter" version of the Single Seven. I wanted the same for the Single Six in .32 mag ... didn't happen ... so I'm not holding my breath.
