I OTOH have more interest in the newer powders. I have several pounds of Surplus 4831 plus the other 'Old Faithfuls', BUT I have acquired a few #s of H 4350 and Rl 26 for experimenting this Spring.

When it comes to firearms I have run the gamut in the years past. I also have NO problem with L As and actually prefer them to S As.
With a 6mm Rem, 270 W, 7mm RM, & 30-06..... there is nothing I can't get done. We have NO prairie dogs or groundhogs etc. so I have no need for a dedicated varmint rifle. ( I'm not including 22 rf and the 22 RFM )

I appreciate the advancements in primers and powders to improve the cartridges I use.

Actually, today's H4895 is a different powder than the one Hodgdon sold after WWII. It's one of what Hodgdon calls the "Extreme" line powders made in Australia, which appeared in the 1990's. (They go by different designations Down Under.)

In the words of Fred Flintstone, “Droll, very droll.”

The 25 CM will just become the new standard and people won’t have to look towards the .25 Souper, 250AI or the .257 Roberts. If a guy already owns one of the three, the 25 CM won’t matter.

Same as the 6.6 CM will eventually push factory chambered .260 Remington Rifles off the shelves and eventually , very limited production and over time all but the dust bin.

I think that the 6.5 CM will be to the 260 REM what the 270 is to the 280. Two very similar, but different, cartridges that fit into the same market niche.

Thank God for choices. I raise my glass for the 280.

I just spoke with a gentleman in Canada. He makes custom bullets( Chinchanga Bullets ). Today he is starting a a run of .25 Cal 140gr bullets. He shoots them in a 8 twist. I ordered some for my 7 twist .257 PRC project.

Get that think screwed together, will ya..wont to here all about it.

1)I have a 25 Souper AI that I built about 12 years ago. Love it!!

2) My brother is in the planning phase of a 25 Creedmore.

3) And I am currently building a 25/06 long range rifle for a customer.

Got my Black Jack 25 caliber 131 gr. bullets today,bullets look great ! now my next challenge is do i want the new A-R type bolt action space rifle guys are using at the range and i am not into star -wars space ship rifles yet.these new type bolt actions may be more accurate and yes they are winning too.i hunt with a Ruger #1,my bench rifles look nice , i have a few A-R`s but truth be told all A-R`s are ugly ! i gotta think about this for a while ?

A .25 creedmoor? Hey...what about the 250/ 3000, the .257 Robert's and the powerful 25/ 06. Just fast twist them. Nothing special about a Creedmoor.

Are there any common production 0.257" component bullets that require a ROT faster than the current standard 1-10" ROT?

I can't recall a 0.257" component bullet that I've shot in the 75 thru 120 grain weight range that didn't work fine in 1-10" barrels that are chambered in 25 WSSM, 250-3000, 257, 257AI, 25-284, and 25-06.
