Very simple last night. Venison back strap, cut 1/2 - 3/4 ", salt & pepper both sides & pound to "minute steaks".

Sautée onions, meat was 30-40 seconds per side in bacon grease. Heat tortilla, add dijon mustard, layer of onions, meat & more onions.

Delicious !

Frogmore Stew tonight except I am going to try it with Argentine pink shrimp instead of our NC shrimp.

Tonight's supper was a medium-sized bowl of leftover pinto beans with pork over freshly made rice. = YUM.

My beloved Darla is still in CA taking care of her sick kid sister, so I'm OUT of her wonderful homemade Sicilian foods, that she made before flying out. = !@#$%!
(She says regularly, "You are so rotten spoiled." - I plead guilty as charged to that comment..)

yours, tex

Made a quick spaghetti.

Did not have any mushrooms so we used some canned.

Taught Richard boy how to use the new can opener I bought him.

He wants to open all the cans in the house now.

Haluski and some good French bread. I also put a dollop of Big Jim's recipe sour cream on mine, good stuff.

And yup on the dried rehydrated chiles being the best flavor for whatever your making.

That's what I had today.

I was to busy and tired to make a pot of Barts but I wanted to try Barry's "Frito Pie" so I bought some Wolf Brand Chili without beans.
It was just OK but the Fritos saved it. I'll definitely be trying some Fritos in some of my home made chili in the near future.

I like fritos beacuse they are just three ingredients: corn, corn oil and salt.

I also like the big scoop vs the regular. Scoop the chili like dip. I bought the Dennisons no meat.

Eating by myself tonight. Thawed some pintos I made a while back with a meaty ham bone. Wife doesn't like pintos nor when I eat them.

Thanks Charlie. I really like them, and since my wife does not, I get them all.

Downside - not often enough.
