P365 is basically equal in size with 13 rd capability.

You are making a pretty good case for other choices but any gun is better than none.

Yeah, but it's not a Glock.

I'm realistic about the compromises I make.

Most are not.

How much smaller is the LCP than the P365?

Shooting our BUG matches and being realistic made me sell my Shield and start carrying a 2.0 Compact.

The P365 is on my radar though.

Perfect answer, no one can predict the nature of your gunfight. Worse case planning is useful in preparing to save your life. No one has, after the fight, said " I brought too much ammo, gun or skill".

Function always rules and reliability is my 1st priority. I always carry a G19 and a spare mag of 17 rounds. I can conceal it, and it is large enough to get a solid grip and shooting platform for fast presentation and well placed shots. It is ugly and doesn't fit my hands but regular focused practice makes it and me effective.

Blue, good topic. As a side note, I have done a lot of training w/ some big name trainers and schools. Paul Howe is the best teacher I have ever met and a true force of nature.

You bet LVMR, increased racial tensions, illegal alien invaders, as well as general lawlessness and disrespect certainly need to be addressed, ESPECIALLY by women.

The LCP is about half the size.

I understand that you are a shooter and that you probably trust your physicality to give you more options than are available to many but approx. 8 seconds to the 1st shot seems like 2 forevers. If circumstances require deep cover I understand. Be safe.

I suspect that your time is much faster than that if you are starting with your hand on the gun in a firing grip with no one the wiser. In that condition, you would beat most attempting to draw a hip-holstered gun.

If you are walking around w/ your hand on the grip you would look like a brother.

You don’t have to do it all the time, just when circumstances suggest that it would be appropriate. But, it really doesn’t take much effort or look out of place to stroll around casually with one’s hands in one’s pockets, brother. I did it quite regularly back in the day.

I live in the wild, wild west, outside of cold weather anyone w/ a hand in their pockets bears watching. It sucks but it is my reality.
