Dang, M&P 45 single stack, that said, 10+1 and accurate beats the hell out of 13+1 and not, I'll still give em a good look.

G- Check out a CZ 97 if your looking for a full size 45. Big comfortable frame that fits big mitts quite well. Think it holds 12 in a dbl stack Mag.

Ever picked up a HK Mark 23? Good lord that thing is a beast. Might fit you though!

Thanks Mooner, i'll check those out too, this would be easier if I didn't like my G21 so much.

Never handled a HK Mark either.

The Mark 23 needs a stock attached to it for me to use it.

If I'm not mistaken John Burns has one and can speak to M&P .45 accuracy.

I had a 45 Midsize for awhile. Great grip, natural pointer and decent shooter' easy to shoot well. Trigger is just OK.

https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/m-p-45-acp-4%E2%80%9D-midsize.1691546/

I IWB under a T shirt all summer and the MP45 Midsize was a tad large for that, whereas a G30SF works fine for me.

If you want to try one of the various size M&P 45s on the cheap here are some copshop trades. I've known the guy since the 80s and he's OK.

That's a really good price on that full size M&P Sarge, hell, a man could buy a couple three of those for extra stash guns and leave em loaded with 230 FMJ's.

My problem is over, I was at the load bench at dark thirty this morning, loaded some +P 200 and 230gr XTP's, and got out some really hot +P+ 230gr FMJ-FP's, they chrono a tad over 1000 fps, got some shipping boxes, my G21 and four mags, went to the pasture, I was shocked how well it shot, it really loved that hot load FMJ, went in and grabbed some of my gold dot carry loads, LOL, that pistol hates the 230 gold dot, the xtp's and fmj's shot twice as good, no other changes.

I'll keep the G21 and shoot it a lot more, in fact, when I get to one of TWR's matches i'll bring it along, I wouldn't think ammo would make that much difference out to 20 yards, but it dang sure did in this case.

Can't address the accuracy of an M&P in 45 since I don't have one, but every one of the 5 of them that I've dealt with in 9mm or 40, have been more accurate than the equivalent Glock............every one.

I don't think you'd find the 45 M&P lacking either, but maybe Burns will chime in as MOGC mentions.

Grip on P226 is GTG Big G, I shoot it just fine, the G21 grip is the one I thought I was having trouble with, I didn't need to grip it that tight, just feed it some ammo it likes, all is well now.

Those M&P's in Sarges add are nice, for 279 bucks you cant beat it, I also found some 14 round mags for them at 29 bucks a piece, what's not to like about having a couple three spare 14+1 45's stashed about for 310 bucks per copy all up? smile

And if they're as accurate as you guys say, that's even more GOOD.

Yeah, that's a good price, but that's the older versions, not the new 2.0 versions.

Since I have both old & the new versions, I can assure you that the triggers on the new ones are much better, so if you want a gun, I strongly advise getting the new version. The new one is good enough that I haven't done anything to it & likely won't & I'm pretty fussy about triggers......................not a single Glock(6) that I own has a completely stock trigger for example.

That's good info MM. The curse of MP45 triggers is that one might have a decent trigger and the next three would suck outright. If the 2.0 change fixed that, more power to
'em. They also got rid of the giant beavertail, which I always reduced anyhow to match the Compact profile. I do wish they'd left the grip texture alone. I can fix the trigger on the older version, so no biggie.

I have an M&P45 first gen and had to swap for an Apex trigger along with their whole kit. The 45's were accurate enough but the triggers were the weak link.

2.0's addressed everything wrong with them and now I'm shooting 2 of the 9's in stock configuration except for sights.

I'll bring the 45 when you come shoot Gunner.

On duty, as many as I'm allowed to carry.

For a ccw pistol, for me personally ... I've found that comfort is more important than capacity for most people.

If it's not comfortable they eventually start leaving it at home then stop carrying all together.

So I advise people to buy something that they will carry all the time.
