That is some fine shooting.

This rifle has been a fantastic shooter the entire time I've owned it the past five years; got about 1500 rounds through it so far. Krieger barrel with 1-8.5" twist 25" length, Rem 700 action and chambered for the 130 gr. Berger. IMO this bullet is the 'ultimate' for the 6.5x47L! This is a metal target I made years ago when I was training for Palma shooting; the white plate is 20" diameter. The first time I took it to the range after getting a zero at 200 yards I went back to 1000 yards and fired this 15 shot group. Had there been an X ring...all shots would have made the X. I've never had the opportunity to meet Jon Beanland but I can tell you that the man knows how to build an accurate rifle. He's made probably 10 or 12 for family members and friends the last ten years.

I shot there just a handful of times. starting in about '94 til 97. I remember a fellow I think was from Louisiana who made target bullets shooting there once. He was shooting a non military over the course bolt rifle. I wish I could remember his 600 score but I can't. The target he shot at 600 had a more x ring hits than any other target I saw in my very limited participation in high power shooting.

I was wondering if that was you that shot that impressive score with all those x-ring hits.
I was one of the fledgling few shooting a Colt Match Target H-Bar rifle, Most of the military High power rifles I remember were M1As and a couple of M1s.
A Navy reservist shooter who was from Tyler, his name escapes me, helped me get started, even let me shoot his rifle till I got my own.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I’m wondering about the plate in the OP.

I'm a strong LSU fan! I get the red ass quite often because I cannot get the Astros games to watch Alex Bregman!! Blacked out in North Louisiana!!

As someone that's eager to enter long range shooting and is currently waiting for on their first long range rifle that's on order, this post is certainly inspiring, great shooting and history.

Fellow lefty.

Nice! Not a lot of opportunities to shoot that far around here.

Bregman is a stud and about to get paid. Current team seems to have an identity crisis. World beaters one day, dumpster fire the next.
