I remember as a kid coming home after school, grabbing a sandwich and watching MTV before my paper route. They played that video a fair bit and I went out and got that CD; still have it. I suspect a lot of metal heads like me got drug back to blues through his music.
Love his guitar style.
He's one I would have liked to have seen live. I need to pick up some of his stuff off iTunes, methinks.

Dood! You are the MAN! A local college station had a Metal show every Tuesday night from 9:00 - Midnight back in the '80s and I discovered these guys there. They never hit it big like Stryper but I still spin that CD a lot. Wore out my original cassette!

Barren Cross was like the Christian Iron Maiden. The Crucified was a little too punk for my taste, but Bloodgood is still kickin' it ever so often, with Sir Oz Fox joining in on guitar:
