My kids (21, 24 and 25) may not totally understand my passion for pre 64 M70's but they do know at our house and their's a model 70 is all there is when it comes to BG rifles. They all have a semi custom job built on a model 70 as well as a pre 64 fwt in it's original stock and they are all to be used and enjoyed and kept in the family.

I think the lever gun market will suffer the worst. The reason? "Kids" now a days didn't grow up watching Westerns like we did. I look for the trend to move to bolt actions and "first generation" black rifles.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

Is there really a growing market for "vintage" AR's? Are earlier generations of Glocks going to become collectible? I've nothing against those guns, and I own some. But I almost consider them commodity goods. I get that some AR's are better made than others, but they are still AR's.

I hope they will gain an appreciation for them. I have three currently. I have purchased cheap ones that have been altered in some manner and restocked them with my two boys in mind. My oldest is knee deep in bow hunting and my youngest is currently completing his second AR. I hope one day they will think back on me frustratingly working on shaping the stocks, applying coats and coats of finish while they sit in a tree somewhere!!

I won't collect them but it wouldn't shock me to see others do it.

^^^^^^^ Educate me. What's an SP1? bt8897 - Very nice rifles. If your kids don't get it, would you consider adoption? I'm old, but still available!
