Well that explains a lot. My cheapy Nikon is 4-14X so you can't really see it. But if the light is right then it distorts the target or whatever you're aiming at.

I had to put 1/2 inch of riser under my Armalite one piece scope mount. It just wasn't high enough for me to get a good sight picture. kwg

I can get a decent sight picture but noticed when I have the mount on a AR with a collapsible stock it was more comfortable. Thanks for the tip, I'll look for a new mount when/ if I do an optics upgrade.
