M C H - The WHOLE world should be FORCED to see these pix OFTEN Thnx jwall I have been to many battlefields and have been in combat. Auschwitz Birkenau is hands down the saddest place I have ever experienced. It is worth a trip to Poland just to see it.

Those are sobering photos, to say the least. I have been to the Dachau concentration camp, but it was nothing like those photos of Auschwitz-at least from what I remember?

There were many concentration camps. They were all primarily work camps. Auschwitz Birkenau was the only extermination camp as its primary purpose. Some were lucky to get to work there but most were killed. The room full of hair (no pictures allowed there) was very disturbing.

That would stand to reason why I didn't see anything like your photos. I recall that Dachau was one of the earliest work camps? I visited in 2006 and one thing that I found strange was that there was a day care or Kindergarten right down the street from the camp. Strange...

Still amazing we have folks right here that’ll try to argue you in the ground that it never happened. I’ve personally seen and hugged survivors with the tattoos on their arms...I’ve heard their stories “first hand”....told by them to ME. My dad, infantryman in the Battle of The Bulge and other engagements, saw it with his own eyes. How anyone with more than two brain cells can think it didn’t happen is beyond me.
