What’s your favorite cordless power tools?

I’ve always been a Makita buyer but started replacing them with newer dewalts.. big mistake I’ve burned up more dewalt than all others combined.

Instead of just going back to Makita I started buying Milwaukee and now have an M12,M18 and a big M28 drills.

I’m really liking Milwaukee and would say they’re the best I’ve Used, except for the battery attachment and their charging system.. Most Mickey Mouse set up of all the big brands.

Thoughts?

I get along pretty well with the 18v and 20!v DeWalt.

Pisses me off that they get to call them 20 volt but what ever.

I am not a tradesman though, just used for general farm and house maintenance work.

I have and like several generations of Milwaukie cordless tools.

The Dewalt brushless 20 volt they now give out where I work are mostly pretty good, barring some minor ergo issues

Jim, I gave my dad a good size dewalt tool set for Christmas two years ago and he’s not had an issue.. He enjoys telling me nothings changed That im still really good at breaking things..

Cinch, Milwaukee sure makes nice tools, have you had any issues with the charger ? That’s my only gripe.

I have a Milwaukee M18 drill that I've used pretty hard for years. The charger has never had any problems at all. The drill still works very well, too.

I bought a 14V DeWalt ten years ago. I have used it extensively. What a great drill it won't die!

I like the DeWalt 20V brushless tools, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Milwaukee tools too.

No sir not as of yet...we use them hard at work...mostly impact wrenches and drills...not as often sawzall and grinder...very now and then we get a battery go bad prematurely but I think you’ll get that with any of them...

bought a DeWalt 18V 1/2 inch drive hammer drill about 20 years ago. Maybe more. Finally got tired of the dang batteries not holding a charge. Bought an adapter for the 20V batteries, that came with a charger and two batteries. Cost less than buying two more of the old 18V batteries. The drill is bullet proof, and really runs great on the 20V batteries

Cordless drill for light field use. Other than that, nothing cordless. Electric all the way. Genny is always nearby just in case.

I have one of those too but 2 of my batteries will no longer take a charge after several years of being used. Any value to the old, dead batteries or should I just trash them?

Makita 9V, light and has the power to do 95% of what needs to be accomplished.
DeWalt 18 is hard to beat just heavier and bigger than needed for most things

I haven't personally tried this, but I've been told that Battery Plus will install new rechargeable cells in your old batteries. It would be worth a phone call, at least, to ask them about it before you tossed the batteries in the trash.

Thoroughly enjoying Alaska since 2001.
