RathrB: that load is from an original (last published in 1985) Weatherby Guide, where in the back is has loads for all their calibers including "factory equivalent loads" which is what this load is. It also works the same with Spire Points, but they are no longer made by Hornady.

Someone thought it referred to the powder charge,

i my 257 Weatherby`s to keep it simple in all 3 of these rifles i just use Reloader 22 - 70 grains.
