Does Tikka make a lefty 223 in a Sporter style configuration? Prefer stainless but blued would be a second choice, can't seem to find any online.

They do but apparently they make them in batches separated by many moons.

About 5-6 weeks ago I was looking for a left hand T3x stainless Lite in .223 with a 1:8" twist and none were to be found. That's the same situation when I first looked for one a couple of years ago. Nada nada for several months, then within the space of a week all of the on-line dealers had them. Bought one and it came with a 1:10" twist shocked whereas before they had been 1:8. Still shoots great but only up to 68-69 grain bullets so would like to get another 8" to try the longer 75-88 grain bullets.

Thanks Jim,
A stainless lite would be perfect. 1-10 wouldnt bother me either as this rifle will just sit in the bedroom as it waits for a coyote to appear across our lake,
I checked Whitakers, Eurooptics, Buds and Gunbrokers and struck out.

I know its not what your asking but there are some Ruger Gunsite Scouts in lefthand on Gunbroker for $499.00 I can't link the ad but this is the description:

Ruger 77 Gunsite Scout 5.56 223 LH Left Hand 6827

Maybe it will help someone.

I appreciate the lead on the Ruger, but that has to be the ugliest .223 I ever seen in my life

There is a used stainless on Gunbroker now. Comes with a half assed scope and mounts but you could always cash out on those. $599 or best offer. Just search "Tikka left 223" on Gunbroker

Ken,
I checked it out. Action looks a little rough on the close up photos. That makes me question the rest of the rifle. I'll wait for something better.
Thanks
Randy

Contacted Europtics and they told me Tikka discontinued this lefty chambering. Might buy a SS Savage Storm. Buds has them for $572 and the twist rate is 1 in 9.

After a ton of looking around nothing seemed to be a better deal than a new Savage Storm from Buds for $572 so ordered one today.

Be interested in how you like the stock after you get it and try it out. Particularly the adjustable comb.

Bought the wife a Storm last month. The stock fits nice. Nothing fancy to look at it but its quality and has an internal aluminum bedding block. Definitely a few steps up from the classic tupperware style of stock you see on a lot of cheap rifles.
Buds price made the rifle appear to be a bargain, especially with no sales tax. Was looking for a stainless rifle, decent trigger, and either a 1-9 or 1-10 twist. The Storm is 1-9. I already have a set of Talley lightweights to fit. Was trying to keep the costs down on this because it will just sit in the corner waiting for a yote or a piggy to appear.

Snowwolfe what’s your thought on the storm 223? I’ve been looking for a stainless 223 and this might work for me...

Mine just sits in the corner for coyote or hog duty. Savage says it will hold 3 but mine will hold 5. The only load I tried was 12.5 grains of Blue Dot behind a 55 gr Sierra. Sighted it in and it easily shot under 1 moa. Feeds and ejects fine, didnt make any changes to the stock yet as it fit OK as it came. Stock has an internal bedding block and is pretty stiff. IMO Tikka makes a nicer rifle but the Savage was easy to find and price was good. Typical Savage, little rough around the edges but it shoots good. Happy with the purchase.
