It's not an Awards head. It's an All-Time head. If that's "mundane" then ya got me...……...……..
I know more than one guy who paid a LOT of money to hunt 'em on YOUR turf that came back with "mundane-er" heads.
Whatever.

250 grain SGK over a hatful of H414 on top of a 210M in a Weatherby hull.
Good for 3060 fps and 1.25-ish MOA 5 shots at 100 yards without pushing any pressure envelopes. Would like to play in some R17, but have a hard time trying to fix something that ain't broke. For a rifle that'll never see the other side of the big pond, what difference does 100 fps or 1/4" at 100 yards really mean ?? It'll stomp a pretty severe mudhole in whatever, as-is.

Thanks Yoder.
A 1/4" or 100 fps does not make any difference at hunting ranges IMO.

A 1/4" or 100 fps does not make any difference at hunting ranges IMO. My opinion, as well. I've not shot it past 500 yards. But it'd make one HECK of an elk (or whatever) rifle to that distance. Kinda a sucky rifle to shoot prone, though.

The high right shot is from a clean barrel. Shot at 100 yards.

That is a FAT bear! He had his pork on. Yep. Killed in your state of residence? It's in a (gasp !!) A-Bolt Stainless Stalker. And, yes sir. Home grown bruisers abound, here. The spring after I shot this one, I got trailcam pics of another, 2 different days in one week, on my own property. He would have taped a good bit better than the one in the pic. We call 20-inchers "cubs".

Dang Yoder , you had me till A-bort Stalker..... hahahah next time a Mauser or pre64 M70 would be the appropriate weapon for a bear as fine as that...... Haha !!! Hence the "gasp !! " I've read all the bad publicity the A-Bolts have garnered......……. Maybe some have had lousy experiences. I have crawled MILES on my belly and lips pushing the rifle in the pic ahead of me through mud, spruce duff, bear chit and whatever else one can imagine. It's ugly as a mud fence. But it never fails to fire and function when called upon. I had to belly crawl into some dark spruce to finish the job on a smaller boar that another guy started. He was not at all happy about having a pair of 180 grainers stuck in him in the wrong place, and was liking to make me think he was ready to fight his way outta the spruce. I had no doubts about the rifle I had. It didn't fail me (and THAT'S how I know it's a sucky rifle to shoot down slope, prone). The bear got a rough ride out of the deal...……..at about 40 feet from the muzzle.

I'll preempt the coming abuses from our favorite troll by simply stating that the bear thought A-Bolts sucked, too. He was EQUALLY unimpressed with the, nearly, 6 feet of penetration the SGK rolled out on him.
Mundane as it may have been...…………….. I was both impressed and pleased.
