But it's an employee doing it, who has other work to do as well.
Back when Callahan was doing it, 5 weeks wasn't unheard of. Hopefully it's not much more.

The last one I did, my letter requesting it was dated Nov. 18, 2018. Their reply was dated Jan. 29, 2019 and the envelope was postmarked Jan. 30. For some reason they did not cash my check until March 13.
You may have to hold your breath a while longer.

Last year before the price hike, I got a letter back in two weeks. That must have been a fluke.

I don't know if the company offers the same services as JTC did. He did not only letter guns for individuals, he also catered to local, state, and federal law enforcement when they needed information on guns

Been over 6 weeks ,but i finally got a hold of Savage today to make sure they ever recieved my request and check. The guy,R.J. said they did,and the letters would be done and sent right out !! I guess the squeaky wheel eventually gets the grease!  Don

After having met JTC a couple of times he would always enclose a Note with my letters! I have saved them with my letters or copys if I sold the rifle! was nice to have that personal touch added to them! I Miss JTC

Was hoping with the pressure of having the ledgers off his shoulders that he might hang out here a bit and shoot the bull, but he’s probably busy enjoying life.

on another note, I had a special order gun, waited 4 months, the only thing they got right was the caliber.
