I asked the old woman where the ham was from.
She just grunted "fertilizer ham"....and trudged off.
The outfit we buy fertilizer from delivers a ham every Christmas to all their customers.
They are local hams and very good.
Not fancy hams...just good simple hams.
We are going to try making our own one day.

Normally we make them with a bag of Ore Ida frozen cubed hash browns.
We were out so we cubed up and par boiled a bunch of russets.
I liked it better. You could actually taste potato!
