Yes, but some people try to do it as cheaply as possible, or won't be doing it often enough to purchase one. That RCBS Bench Mounted Primer Pocket Swager is about 1/3 of the price. I think it's worth spending, exspecially if you will be doing this from time to time, but others... Here's a Midway link to the RCBS bench mounted swager. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/319662/rcbs-bench-mounted-primer-pocket-swager

I did read after I stopped using the rcbs press mounted swager, spray the rod with hornady one shot and I guess the cases slide right off. I do have a question on the brass you use have you weighed to see if there are any big swings in weight? I weigh my LC and sort it. My stuff ranges from a low 90.5 to 93.5 grs.
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

I have weighed the latest bunch of IVI cases and they vary by about 3 grains. No surprise, except that the IVI brass is heavier than LC. The last 100 I prepped averaged over 98 grains. When I get back to the house, I'll check my notes.

Steve,
Wonder if you'd share a brief summary of how you form bullets from cases. Are you using them as jacket material formed and filled with lead?

Ever go to a gun show, and some dude has a couple boxes or bags of once fired brass mixed into his odds and ends table. Once fired? Five times? Proof type loads? In short, I'll buy once fired if sure I trust that it's only once fired with factory loads.

Dillonbuck, I see. The IVI brass at Wasp Munitions is once fired. It is not gun show stuff in plastic bags. 79S, The average weight for the IVI brass is 98.2 grains.

I ordered and received 1,000 pces of IVI once fired brass. $75 plus tax and delivery. The only thing that has been done to it is sonic cleaning. I will look through them, but I am not expecting any surprises. Like the other IVI brass I have used - 7.62, 303 and 9mm - it is well made.
I'll pull out 50 pces from the box, trim them to length, deprime and swage the primer pockets, then check for weight.

I went through the box this afternoon. Some dinged cases, but nothing crushed or unusual that I could find. The box has now reached "round to it" status. I am about 8 weeks from the Contender barrel arriving, so I have plenty of time. A late summer project to work through a few hundred cases and load them up.
