Lots of chit talk here.Lots of smack talk from guys who have never been in a ring.I boxed Golden Gloves.My mentor was a black guy named Billy Braggs.I was the only white guy in his Gym.I fought Mexicans,Blacks,Ricans, Polacks,Jews.Everybody did not look like Rocky or Ali.Lots of skinny and overweight dudes who had heart and could punch your lights out given the chance.My attribution was I could take a punch.Thank God for headgear.Boxing at any level is not for those faint of heart or who's only weapon is a big mouth.The "Fat Mexican"won the match and deserves to be recognized for being World Champ.I would challenge anyone who thinks different to try one three minute bout in the ring with him.Smack talk would stop very fast.
I wouldn't want to get in the ring with either one. Boxing is a tough sport.

Ruiz has fast hands and looked like decent power. Not a fan of his brown pride BS but Mexicans are really fughin tough in boxing, wrestling, mma

Go into a ring for a few rounds and get punched in the head hard a few times and on the sides of your lower torso and see stars and feel your legs buckle and fight your fear/flight response. Tougher than you think. Change your perspective on judging boxers

I worked in a machine shop with a young man who decided to take up boxing and joined a gym. He was a strong young man and in good shape.
The gym where he was working out had a couple of up and coming young boxers who were beginning to compete regionally. One of them stood out. I recall his first name was "Nate".
One evening my friend thought he had been training long enough to do some sparring with Nate.
He showed up to work next day with his head *all* a mess. He decided shortly afterwards that he was done with boxing.
