Does anyone have first hand experience with this pistol? The wife is considering switching out her EDC M&P Shield for this model.
I haven’t put one in her hand yet. First, I wanted to hear what some of your thoughts are before I try to track one down in my locale for her to put in her mitts.
Thanks...😎

I have a 48--same frame, longer barrel, and like it a lot.

G48 has the same skinny width as the 43x, I think...Thanks much. 😎

The differences between different Glock "models" and generations is trifling.

There is a distinct difference from shooting a 43/Sheid and 5he 43x. That little bit of grip length changed the whole feel and ability to recover the front sight. The current glocks are some of the best they have produces.

She liked the weight loss of the Shield after years of carrying a Kahr K9. G43x might be a good choice in weight, reliability and shootability for a women. 😎

A model 19 that's 1/4" thinner and gives up 5 rounds of magazine capacity. That makes as much sense as a breast reduction.

Weight is close enough to the Shield to consider it as an option. You ever been shopping with a women? It can be a nightmare - a firearm is no different, at least with my woman. I was just looking for information from someone who owns a G43x. I have a Glock 19, 17, and G20....Yes, I know functionality is similar. Read what I was asking and you’ll understand why you’re not being helpful....😎

Beaver, I'm sorry if I came across rudely. Absolutely no disrespect intended.
I would caution against putting a loaded Glock in a purse or handbag sans holster.

No worries, It’s all good....I liked the Miracle Bra idea...Wife carries in a holster, inside her purse. 😎

I work in a large gunshop/range and get a lot of couples come in. Very often, they come to the sales counter after shooting their SO's G19 and say they want to look at a 19. I hand it to them and they want to buy it but have a "not quite sure" look in their eyes. I ask them to put their hand up and it's normally much smaller than mine (I have average size hands). If their hands are smaller, I hand them a 48 and 43X and as soon as they put it in their hands, they get a big smile on their faces and say "I want THIS one". Like B10 said, it's a skinny 19, and sometimes that makes all the difference for some people. With the 4.2" barrel, I call it the 21st century 9mm LWT Commander.

The 43x feels a lot better to me than the 43. But the one using it is the best one to decide.

I have a 48, it may replace my 19. On second thought it has.

Happy wife...Happy Husband. Thanks for the assist on this pistol purchase. 😎
