I like Tim Horton's but it's an acquired taste. I was across the river in Windsor a month ago and stopped at Timmy's and their coffee in Canuckia tastes completely different. Really nice and smooth. I've been in that Tim Horton's many times. Stopping for coffee and snacks there was a standard part of our trips to Toronto and Ottawa.

Tim Hortons, if you can find it, is my favorite. They are actually the ones that brought me around to enjoying coffee. Pair it with a Canadian maple doughnut and I’m in paradise! At Tim's in Canada it's a "double double" for me - coffee with double cream and double sugar. I only like black coffee, except at a Tim's up there. Pair it with a Boston Creme donut and life is good. My theory is Canadians need extra cream and sugar for the calories to get through the winter.

The best for me is Cumberland Farms and it is only $.99. We have a DD every few miles but it is weak and overpriced.

Don't drink coffee on the road, don't want to stop for pee breaks. That pink grapefruit cocktail in the gas stop juice section is a good thirst quencher without adding much volume.

Just about any so long as its fresh and strong enough.
Tim Horton's or Starbuck's is worth extra effort, mostly because they seem to keep a fresh pot going.

No Waffle Houses around here. I wish we did have! I like their coffee and other stuff too, especially their scrambled eggs with cheese and raisin toast with apple butter.........and the waffles.......and bacon..............and

The kind from a vending machine. My dad says it's the best to wake you up on a long drive. Story I've heard him tell many times....... During college he'd drive up from the Southeast to the mid-west and work for some of the big land farmers. Long hours, etc....he's driving back and is struggling to stay awake so he stops and buys a cup of coffee from a vending machine. Says the coffee wasn't to good but the dead fly he spit back into the bottom of the empty cup woke him up for the rest of the drive.
