Going fishing with Roger would be a reason to visit a beach I think.

I hate the beach, but the Estrogen Rangers in the family insist.

Love the beach, but ours are a little different than most. No people.

There is no way you can dislike it more than me, wifey and friends rent beach house in surfside every summer. I’m expected to go and like it or get my ass kicked. It stinks, it’s hot, I hate it, but she does s lot for me, so I suck it up and go.

Spend 2-3 weeks on the Oregon coast. Do some salmon fishing, crabbing and alot of bbqing on the deck. Its a great break from the desert heat.

Being retired, I am always on vacation. Don't like to travel distances anymore - I just prefer to stay close to where I live.

Flying out of Saudi on Friday to Cape Town. Ten lazy days on the Garden Route, hope to see a bunch of whales along the way. Work starts on July 8 with KMG Safaris for an eight day hunt then back to Cape Town for a couple of day before heading back. It will be a great break from the heat over here.

But cleaning out gutters, pulling ticks out of the dogs's ears and mowing the grass every 4 days gets boring.

Taking a long slow drive on the Oregon Coast highway. We will stop at the RMEF elk camp in Park City on the return to Colorado.
Late July taking my 89 year old mother to Nashville for 6 days.

I'm with you. If I never had to see another ocean beach I'd be happy. My wife loves the Oregon coast and I imagine I'll get dragged there every year once we get moved down to Idaho.

I not only don't like ocean beaches but I dread vacations. After one or two days of forced relaxation, I'm ready to be back home. I get almost overwhelmed with guilt over what's not getting done and always feel like I'm wasting time on vacation sitting around essentially doing nothing. I can't say that in 40+ years, I've ever had an enjoyable vacation.

Hunting trips do recharge me, as does just spending time on a river or lake or in the outdoors. Even then, if it's more than a couple days the trip begins to be marred by guilt over what I should be doing at home. I've never been able to figure it out.

No offense, but I took my family to see the redwoods and show my daughter the ocean a couple years ago. The trees were worth it. But If I never set foot in your state again it'll be too soon. Granted I don't think Crescent City is often touted as a vacation destination. Or is it?

Got no problem with Americans coming to see Gods Natural Wonders of this State.

Its all the got dang foreigners.

Come back anytime. Actually there is a whole lot of good things to see and do. Im just a jaded fuqk.

The North Coast is one of the least crowded Nicest Areas of the State thats not as touristy. Lots of Californians go there to escape everywhere else.

My favorite vacation spot is an alpine lake above 7000 ft deep in the Spine of the Sierra 50mi from nowhere.

I get two weeks per year, and spend all of it I can, hunting. . That may change a bit now, since I bought a Grizzly 660, and want to hit the trails for a few days. I like the beach, but prefer the mountains.

Cruising to Alaska lat July, and will spend several long weekends per Summer in Ruidoso, NM hanging out. I hate the beach too. I've seen the huge redwoods and sequoia's in Cali, Yosemite, near lake Tahoe. Beautiful places but I've seen all of that State I desire..

Two weeks in WY in July, fly fishing, hiking, scouting. Going to talk with a couple builders as we plan to retire there soon. Will do my solo two weeks of WY hunting in October. Then I'll take about nine days for midwest whitetail.
