I hate finding a case of empty glue tubes turned upside down full of piss. [bleep] meth addict cracker hangers are famous for it.

I did one a year ago, 3500’ of 10’ and 16’ ceilings. 240 sheets, some archways, etc ran me 17k in Montana and I had a rough time finding a crew. That was taped, textured, and primed.
No illegals here though.

What's framing running a sq./ft for a simple ranch house? I usually pay $25-$40 for framers that are insured and will work with a grumpy boss. Depending on how much work I have of course. My guys will also work finish in the winter for $25, so I try and time the finish work for the cold months. Things were lots cheaper five years ago.

I get about 2 dollars per sq. ft to hang it and about the same to tape it. SO, about 4 bucks a sq. ft. Although, I mostly do small jobs like bathrooms that are 10 sheets. That is about $1,200 for labor and material. I get about 45 to 50 bucks an hr. If I prime it I charge about $200 plus a pound of gun powder and some primers to boot. Don't laugh, You all do it too.

Yes, some use a multiplayer to get the footage needed.
Hangers do not charge by the square foot of wall/ ceiling, they charge by the number of sheets X 48 for 12 footers, X 32 for eight footers. Yes you pay for the waste.
Example: if a ceiling is 11 X 11 = 121 sq ft, the hanger is going to charge you for 3. 4 X 12 sheets or 3 X 48 or 144 sq ft.
When using the multiplier he will get an accurate count on the number of 4 X 12 sheets and that is what he bases his price on.
The taper usually asks “how many sheets” and prices on that number. Tapers often add $$ for corner bead, some as much as $10 per stick.
The smaller the job, the higher the cost per sq foot. Most really small jobs are by the hour.
you got it.....pay by the sheet....never heard of someone taking out openings...…..bob Around here it’s by the sheet also. Get used to them cutting up a full sheet to get a piece that was probably in the scrap pile. ; ) Dave Bull schit Not everybody that works for a living is crooked.

True, not everyone is crooked. As for me , I find myself using too much scrap because many times I have to carry it up the steps, and many times it is a 50 yd . walk each way to get a sheet of drywall. However, I have seen rockers where they had to cut up pieces and leave them.
