Most of the ones I have owned shot very well but the few that did not had gaps between the barrel shank and the receiver . Which is not surprising as they were sold cheaply by Sears and Montgomery Wards.
They were, and in most places still are, real sleepers. Even at $450 ! Which if they are really bringing that I might need to straighten up my safe .

Bought this as a Higgins 50 in a cheap Tupperware stock with a Timney Trigger and Leupold 4X scope off gunbroker for $325. Bought a 51 stock off here for it for another $100. Dads loaded several bullet and powder combinations. All at 1” or a little better. I can’t think of a better way to spend $425 for a complete ready to go rig.
