Good observation. Sort of raised the credibility issue with me. Still the NRA is toast and so are we.

Can't happen soon enough. The country will be better for it.

In time, the NRA will fix its problems. Until then, I'm sticking with the NRA. We can't afford to lose a gun rights organization with the membership base and clout of the NRA. A few problems will not change the fact that I've been a proud NRA member for several decades, and I plan on being a proud member for years to come. No dust up is ever going to change that.

Well said. There does need to be some clean-up, reorg and clearly a bit more financial transparency. We need to stick with them and we need to encourage our fellow sportsman to do the same.

The programs the NRA supports have sprawled from its roots and a lot of that has been by necessity but a top to bottom review of how they do business is needed to get it's house in order and some level of efficiency. There are things it does well and there are things that are just wasteful (and National Rifleman and Hunter are just sad compared to their past time to rework that whole idea as the tip of the iceberg).

I'd like to see the various gun rights groups do a lot more cooperation and planning together instead of competing for my money. They all do some things well from grass-roots to national level relationships. Let's get them to work together to protect our rights, run competition, do education etc. Lots of stuff to be done to keep our sport vibrant and growing.

I remember when the Democratic party was also well represented in rural areas and they were no more likely to espouse gun control than the Republican party but it has morphed into a hard-core socialist urban party that thinks guns have no place in our country. It won't change. If our range of pro-2nd amendment orgs are painted as conservative and right wing then so be it and I'm aboard but it's really, like so much in the country, the urban vs. rural fight. In the next election, if the socialist get out the vote and if we as conservatives don't go vote they will win and who knows what kind of dazzling urbanite they will elect and we will helpless without multiple lobbying arms including the NRA.
