A friend gave me 150 or so of these and I thought I'd send them down the bore in my Model 7 predator. If you have any experience loading these in .223 I would appreciate any info. you could share. Otherwise I guess I'll just start with some of the loads Ive have success with other brands of 55grainers. Thanks

Berger has not made the 55gr MEF for quite a few years, they made the 55gr FB Varmint to replace it.
I loved the old MEF, it has a huge hollow point making it come undone on impact. perfect for prairie dogs or rock chucks. my favorite load with them was 25gr N133 with 205 primers.

Thanks for the info, I don't usually load bergers but thought this bullet had been discontinued. I dont have any N133 and since this is a bullet I cant buy and Ive only got 150....Ill probably try a powder I have on hand already but I appreciate the info. We dont have pdogs but our ghogs are about the same as a rock chuck.
