I watched in a BOQ. I returned from RVN in Feb. and was all healed up and working as a Lifeguard on Huntington Beach, Ca. while deciding which PD to join. Interesting times for many reasons. It was a rare positive event in a country in upheaval and teeming w/ filthy hippies. Living in a beach town surrounded by blondes in bikinis was therapeutic.

I guess I'll just tell it like it was..... I and my girlfriend at the time were home from college and were at her house and we watched it on tv. About midnight when we expected her parents to be home from a dinner road trip, they called and said that they had car trouble and would have to spend the night about 90 miles away. Needless to say, I don't remember too many specifics about the moon landing for the rest of the night. We had played "catch" before but that night was the first time that we both circled the bases together.
btw - We've been married for almost 48 years..........
It's official. I missed the selfie deadline so I'm Maser's sock puppet because rene and the Polish half of the fubar twins have decided that I am.
